Sister Kiren W. Averett was born in Chicago, IL on May 6, 1958,
the only child of Thomas Averett & Patricia Jean Davenport - Both of whom preceded her in death. She was educated in parochial
schools in Detroit, MI and
was a member of St. Gregory Church where she worked with many organizations within the Church. Sister Averett was especially
compassionate toward the homeless. She worked as a Dental Receptionist for Professional Dental Centers at Northland Mall.
Her greatest love was her children, Trevor and Noelle with whom she devoted her life and wanted to expose her children
to as much education and culture as possible.
Sister Averett was a member of International F & AM Masons, Inc.
& Order of the Eastern Star for 16 years. She was instrumental in the revision of Princess of Bathsheba #149 and
served as
Associate Worthy Matron of the Chapter for 9 years before assuming the position of Worthy Matron. Sister Averett was
very active in the Order of Eastern Star as well as its many Departments including the Exalted Degree and the Shrine.
Sister Averett was a kind hearted soul that found joy in helping others. She was responsible for instituting the Chapter
policy of giving a percentage of all moneys raised to a charitable institution. She also held raffles within the Chapter to
assist members in attending various meetings in and out of State.
Sister Averett was a dedicated member who was tirerless in her efforts to help make Princess of Bathsheba a thriving
Chapter. Even in sickness she continue motivate others with with positive attitude and dedication to her Chapter and the Organization.
